NFL Picks and NFL Betting Picks

Making NFL betting picks is what we do best here at BetPilot.com and as NFL betting season rolls on we start evaluating our NFL picks and see what is working. The middle of the season is the easiest time to bet because you have a good idea of what each team looks like and you don’t yet have to factor in some of the fatigue and injuries that you need to think about towards the end of the season. These things are really important as the year winds down.

So what are your NFL betting picks looking like this NFL season ? Are you following our daily NFL blog? It appears as if the underdogs have really been getting out and barking. As you all know if you have been following the blog we are big on playing the dog. They are really on top of their game, so to speak. This is something that might continue through the season, but chances are that it won’t. You need to account for this when making your NFL picks. The favorites are bound to turn it around sometime, but won't see us playing a bunch NFL favorites as we know the average NFL game is decided by 3.5 points or less. On a slightly different topic have if you've never indulged in playing at an online casino you certainly should give it a shot. Playing at online casinos holds a lot of benefits especially if you play at casinos that are also offer bingo, poker and sports betting action all from one place such as Bodog, Intertops and others

We all know that Matthew Stafford has his work cut out for him taking over at quarterback for the worst franchise in the NFL in the Detroit Lions, but it looks like the Lions are trying to make some changes and surround the rookie some offensive weapons.

Everyone knows that his main target will be Calvin Johnson who is arguably one of the top five receivers in the NFL right now, but besides that he really didn't have any other targets at his disposal until now when the Lions dealt safety Gerald Alexander to the Jacksonville Jaguars for wide receiver Dennis Northcutt.

Northcutt may not be one of the top receivers in the league like Johnson, but he is definitely an upgrade at the position for a poor receiving core in Detroit.

The Boston faithful took a huge sigh of relief recently when they witnessed their franchise quarterback for the New England Patriots start practicing on the field and looking good and healthy enough to start next season.

Now that Matt Cassel will be under center for the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots are running thin on quarterbacks if Tom Brady isn't at a 100% at the start of next season the Pats could be in trouble down the road.

There has been talk of the possibility of Michael Vick coming to New England and honestly I can't think of a better place for him to repair his reputation. Obviously this is just a rumor, but the Patriots are no strangers to taking in troubled football players with their recent success with players like Corey Dillon and Randy Moss and with Brady's health in question and no viable option as a backup.

At first it seemed like a no brainer that USC quarterback Mark Sanchez would be on his way to San Francisco on draft day. There were just too many things leaning toward coach Mike Singletary making that decision. He is in desperate need of a franchise quarterback and some scoring punch and stability on offense besides running back Frank Gore's production on the ground.

Sanchez seemed like the perfect fit. Franchise quarterback potential, California boy and possesses as the needed skills to be a great quarterback in the NFL. Problem was that the 49ers were starting to look elsewhere for more of a guarantee like Kurt Warner or a proven NFL veteran.

Now things have changed as Mike Singletary has reached out to Sanchez and let him know that there is still interest in making the young kid the 49ers starting quarterback.

Although most people are seeing Georgia quarterback Matt Stafford going way before Mark Sanchez in the NFL Draft, the 49ers will probably still take Sanchez with the 10th pick if he has already been selected.

Isn't funny how players always tend to have surgery or an injury all of the sudden once they sign a big contract like Kurt Warner of the Arizona Cardinals.

Apparently this isn't anything serious, even though if it needs surgery it ain't going away, but Warner will have surgery on his left hip.

He shouldn't miss any time though, at least that is what they are saying right now, but he thinks he will be ready to go for voluntary workouts on May 19th. He will miss mini camp though.

The same doctor that operated on Alex Rodriguez earlier in the month in Vail, Colorado is the same one performing the surgery on Warner.

Some Dallas Cowboys fans are cheering and others are fuming, but nonetheless the boys in Big D are moving forward without the outspoken wide receiver that seemed to create more problems then progress.

In the long road this was probably a great move for the Cowboys as TO has done nothing, but prove he is locker room poison.

The one question you have to ask now is will the Cowboys make a move to get another wide receiver. There is definitely no lack of talented veteran receivers out there with both Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt on the market. In my opinion Dallas would be foolish to pass on proven receivers like these that tend to keep their problems at home.

Marvin Harrison would be a perfect fit in Dallas, Holt would fit in nicely as well, but Harrison would definitely help with his veteran leadership.

Out of the position on a football team why is it that it is always the wide receiver that causes all the problems. I really don't get it, the quarterback should be the one who throws the fits and causes problems due to a huge ego, but no it is the wide receiver instead.

This time around it isn't Ocho Cinco or the big mouth Terrell Owens who seem to be in the news at least once a week. This time it is Plaxico Burress, the fastest gun in the East!

When I heard this guy accidently shot himself I was absolutely amazed and thought that now I have heard everything.

Even though this guy is stupid enough to accidently shoot himself, he is still a very good wide receiver that can be a game changer for any team in the NFL.

At first I thought the New York Giants would do the right thing and just wash their hands of Plaxico Burress' baggage, but after the Giants just fell apart once Burress was out of the picture they will do anything to keep him. Problem is, he wants out of New York.

The thing out a great wide receiver that makes them so appealing is the fact that if a team already has a proven quarterback like say Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or Drew Brees he is worth his weight in gold.

So with that being said, even though Burress isn't all that bright, he will easily find suitors around the NFL.

Football Prediction:  I'm going with San Diego +1  against the Colts.    Boy, the Colts are just squeeking these games out.  San Diego has been on a roll, and with the running backs and Rivers, they will be hard to stop.  I think Manning has lost a little this season and will be running for his life in this game.  Stick with a winner and take San Diego +1

This is my favorite time of the year in College Football.  Love these Bowl games.  This weekend begins with 4 on Saturday and one on Sunday.   I'm taking Boise St +2.5 against TCU.  This should be a great game.  Really could go either way.  Probably be high scoring, may even go with the over on a small wager.  I think that TCU has a very good defense and QB, but in the end I think Boise will pull it out.

Football is nearing the end for alot of teams, but not the Jets.  I believe they will go to the playoffs and actually do well.   Seattle has struggled all year and the games they have won, have been real close.  I think Brett will have the team under control and will win this one by a TD or more.  Take the Jets -4

The New Orleans Bowl should be a good game.  Troy should pull this out at -4.5.  Southern Miss is an okay team, but cannot keep up with the strength of Troy.   There are alot of good Bowl games this year, everyone should make some good change, but on this one take Troy-4.5

NFL Sports Betting Tips Looking to make a gamble on your favourite NFL Team? Well whether you are betting online or making a wager at a casino the rules for gambling when it comes to the NFL or online betting in general are mostly common. Firstly there is a bit of background information that one should know before making the wager and so that winning or at least the chances of winning are in line with your expectations. Most bets won’t be paid until about the first hour of the game is played. If the game is called off for any reason before the first hour is completed all bets are usually called off and returned. For beginners most tend to make a bet on the spread and the outcome of the game. For those interested in making further bets and gambling a little more you can make a wager on the any one or even all of the quarter outcomes. You can also make a bet on the game of a particular player and how many points you anticipate that individual player will score. You can even bet on the distance that ball will be thrown throughout the game itself. Most gamblers that enjoy the popular sport of NFL betting will bet on the entire season, teams that they will believe will make it to the playoffs and other factors about what is likely to happen in the NFL that season. For newbie’s it is important to remember to start small and work your way up as your understanding of sports betting gets stronger and stronger.
